This photo was taken yesterday afternoon after a big water fight at my grandparents farm – we’re happy and surrounded by loved ones, which is all I could ask for at this time of the year. Oh, and we’re soaking wet too!
Earlier on I’d sent my annual email to all the commenters since last Christmas with the tally for this year’s Christmas Card Challenge – if you’re one of these people and haven’t received it, perhaps check your spam filters. Sometimes they end up in there.
Anyway, the donation count is well over the $200 mark and this will head to the Starlight Children’s Foundation in due course.
Have a happy and safe holiday season. I’ll be back later. x

Have a great Christmas, see you next year!
Heh. In a fit of madness, I gave a number of children (including my own) a water balloon kit – it has a gizmo that makes it easy to tie a knot. Of course, my kid wants to play water balloons now – and because we are north of the equator, it is NOT POSSIBLE. I suppose it’s my own fault for handing out weather inappropriate gifts.
(Love your comments > gifts policy.)
Lovely pic, Karen. There’s some great holiday spirit in it. We were thinking about a water balloon fight, but then realized it was about 30 degrees and didn’t want to risk the Yuletide hypothermia.
But it looks like you guys had a great time. Merry belated Christmas.
