There are barely any words to describe just how much is on my plate this week. Well, hang on, that’s a bit of an exaggeration. Of course there are words enough – I just don’t have the mental faculties to string them together. My brain is liquefying slowly and making a painful migration down through my nose and out into my sinuses.
And in an effort to keep myself awake these past few days, I’ve been watching videos.
These ones, specifically.
Eddie Izzard’s BBC documentary Marathon Man is available in 10min chunks on YouTube, and the earliest one (I think) is above. It follows his 2009 task of running 43 marathons in 51 days to raise money for Sport Relief. Inspirational stuff.
Or if you’re looking for something funny, here’s the internet’s latest viral video. I still laugh. Keira catches me watching it and says ‘Mum, again?’
Still on the funny, I’ve loved Whose Line is it Anyway? for years. Here’s one of my favourite segments.
Moving on to the serious…
David Rakoff passed away last week after battling cancer and I urge – urge! – you to watch this video of him. So incredibly moving.

I’ve now been watching the rest of the Eddie Marathon Man video links on youtube during my lunch break. I’ve been looking for them- glad to find the correct name at last!
Glad you liked it! I’ve not watched it all myself yet, just bits and pieces.
