The above shot was taken from a penthouse in South Yarra on Wednesday night while a hockey game was being played under lights on the field below. The CBD is further away in the image than it appeared in real life, and this is how I’m feeling about the next week – at the moment the adventure feels further away than it actually is.
The day has been spent cleaning, packing and organising. I took my time getting out of bed this morning, taking advantage of every last second to be with the kids as they came in for their regular cuddles, smoothing their hair, tracing their cheeks with my finger.
I don’t know how much I’ll be able to post while I’m away, or how much access I’ll have to technology. But I’ll be back soon x

I hope that you have a wonderful adventure Karen. Can you please take detailed notes so that I can live vicariously through you, when you get home. Wave at the Guggenheim for me.

I also love tracing my kids cheeks with my fingers. There’s some kind of innocence and purity that you can feel through their skin. If only those things stay even when they have grown up. Have a safe trip

Lovely pic, Karen. Have a great and safe time.
Also, I’m a big, dumb idiot. I looked at the photo and said to myself, “Now, how could they be playing hockey when there’s no ice? Ohhhhhh, FIELD hockey. Heh.”
Yes the kids in bed at that age is fun
