Milo Active Play Sportspack Giveaway

June 19, 2012

A few months ago MILO sent us a fantastic kit of sporting gear so the kids could get outside in the spirit of the active play campaign. This kits contains such things as a soccer net, balls, cones and a pump (handy!). You can see what it looks like in the photo below, used with Catherine’s kind permission.

(My kids were too eager to get into the box and open everything up, so by the time I’d thought to get the camera it was too late. Keen!)

Even better, a lucky reader has a chance to win a play kit all of their own. But more on that later.

Before the Melbourne weather descended on its customary slide into winter, we took the kids to the park to have a kick around. They had lots of fun – as you can tell!

Now, to business. To go in the running to win your own MILO play kit, leave a comment below via Rafflecopter that shares where is the typical place you normally go with your kids to play. Is it out in the backyard? A local park? School grounds?

I’m interested as we have no real ‘backyard’ to speak of, so if we want to do a bit of running about we need to go elsewhere.

Please take note of the Terms and Conditions:

1. One entry per person. Australian and New Zealand residents only.
2. Competition closes at midnight Tuesday 10th July Eastern Australian Time and I will contact the winner shortly thereafter.
3. Entrants must enter via rafflecopter.
4. If contact cannot be made within 48 hours, I reserve the right to a re-draw of another winner.

Disclaimer: I receive payment for consulting services as a MILO Play Ambassador and received the MILO Play Kit free of charge.

Edit: Competition has ended. I’ll notify the winner ASAP!

I’m very lucky to have a huge backyard and live 5 houses away from two massive sports ovals and one park with shady trees and play equipment. We have it really good.

For some reason I couldn’t comment, oh well. Since our backyard is tiered and a bit steep we head down to St Matthews farm for a bit of outdoor activity. The kids love the huge grass hill and ride down it on the skateboard.

thx for chance to win! Rainy days my fave place to take my nearly walking little person is the National Gallery Victoria, Kids Space. It’s truly sensational with constellation projections, telescopes, cubby houses…endless fun. Outdoors, it’s the path along beach in winter or on beach in summer, scooter, ball and rug is all we need for a fun arvo. winter we also spend countless hours in the indoor pool, noisy, warm and active. Perfect combo! Chrs Pip :)

We live in an inner suburb suburb with a back yard the size of a postage stamp. Luckily there are a dozen parks within walking distance. The best part is that my wi-fi works in the park over the road. I have fond memories of summer days sitting on the grass in the shade of a tree, getting ‘stuff’ done online as I loosely supervise the kids as they ride, run, jump and climb trees. If it were only warm and sunny today…

We live on five acres of hill and bushland with only a couple of smallish flat areas to play cricket in. We did work out a very complicated set of cricket rules to work around the obstacles on our improvised cricket pitch. In the vegie garden was six and out as it often took ages to find the ball. The roof of the house was also 6 and out as was hitting the house, I put that one in to protect my windows after I broke a window (oops). Our red heeler dog Harry was such a single minded fielder that he had to catch the ball three times in a row before you were classed as out by the dog.
If we wanted to kick a footy around we would have to drive down the hill to the community club and play on the oval, which also had the added benefit of a beer afterwards.

We love going to the local park and playing on the equipment, especially the swing

When we’re on the farm, the boys play over the paddock. (When they were younger they had a fenced little yard, but now they have the home paddock. :P ) And when we’re in town or travelling, they find any available open spaces. They love to run around!

Every weekend we try a different park in Sydney, combining a picnic and active time. Thhe children love exploring somewhere new.

Living near Sydney Olympic Park we are lucky to have a number of walking trails, cycling paths and parks nearby, We can choose a different direction every outing.

We are good friends with most our neighbours as our children are of the same ages, so we’re usually in someone’s backyard every afternoon.
