To anyone new to ’Miscellaneous Mum’ via today’s Sunday Life article about “Mummy Blogging” – welcome!
I write about my family life here, books, and whatever else takes my fancy (which is a lot). I enjoy taking photos with my iPhone.
I am also an author and publisher at Miscellaneous Press. The Press’s latest book, Miscellaneous Voices: Australian Blog Writing #1 is an anthology of Australian blog writing and has been reviewed in The Age and discussed in The Australian.
I am an advocate for blogging in all forms (as you may have guessed by now) and if you have any comments/questions etc. I’d love to hear them.
Have a lovely weekend!

Hey Karen, that is so cool! Did you know you were going to appear in the article? Do you know if the article would be on line anywhere?
Hi, that’s me! A Sunday Life reader. I was looking for a few more blogs to follow, so it was great timing.

Hi Nell, normally the Sunday Life articles don’t make it online (from what I’ve seen). I did know about the piece, yes, I was interviewed a little while ago
Miss Kate Daily – Hello! Nice to see you
Random question … how do you get that cool ‘old’ effect on your iphone pics?
Love your blog, have for ages.
xx
Hi LovinLivin, thanks for your kind words!
Now, with my iphone, I have 2 apps I use the ‘Toy Camera’ one and ‘Hipstamatic’ (with several add-ons to that app I’ve purchased, lens and rolls etc). That’s pretty much it! I go with whatever the give back to me. In my header there is one shot that was in colour that I converted to black and white for continuity, but I did that in Picasa (which is free!) I hope that helps
