Contributor copies of Miscellaneous Voices: Australian Blog Writing #1 are now making their way across the country and globe, as are the first of the pre-orders. Some blog posts have been written about those who’ve received them: such as Lead Igloo, Maekitso’s Cafe (you can win his copy if you enter his competition by writing a Ghazal), 10% Fiction, Alan Baxter’s The Word – According to Me.
These are the ones that I know of so far – if there are any more, please tell me!
Speaking of contributors to Misc. Voices, one needs your help. In a week where the state of health care has been debated (or talked around, depending on your point of view) in our country, there are people who find themselves within the system, often without comforts, relying on services and staff already stretched to the limit. Tiffany has gone through the unimaginable over the years, and has now taken it upon herself to raise some money to alleviate the discomfort parents and carers often go through when staying with their children, and for the nurses, who are truly unsung heroes, in my mind.
If you’d like to read some more, here is Tiff’s post. And if you click on the below button, you’ll be taken to a place where you can make a donation.

My copy of your book arrived today Karen. Thank you so much! I look forward to reading it. x
Hi Karen. I am thrilled with my copy of Miscellaneous Voices. Thank you. It is a fabulous production. I will be buying a few copies in the very near future and have started making a mental list of places to leave them. So far, I’ve selected a hairdresser in the Blue Mountains and a Gloria Jeans franchise in Padstow.
The opening piece by Ruby J.Murray is incredibly moving. Ashley Capes’ contribution is one that I promptly jumped forward to, and noted that it was already one of my blogland favorites. So many great writers and writings here I am tempted to keep prattling on. I won’t.
Congratulations! You have pulled together a masterpiece and I am proud to have been included. Thank you.
Hi Karen
Woohoo the Misc Voices train is gathering steam! I’ve got a post up at my blog too: http://tensecondsaday.blogspot.com/2010/03/in-good-company.html
Am still trying to come up with a cunning plan to get me to Melbourne for 14 April…
many thanks for this Karen and also thank you so much for letting me be a part of the Misc voices adventure. I am honoured.
Hi Karen!
I’ve put a post up too – (thank you, Brad!) and I’m really hoping that Issue 1 really goes through the roof – it’s a a pretty important move for writing in general, the merging of print & online.
