Where I’ve been

October 28, 2009

Yesterday a post I’d written about my Miscellaneous Voices project went up over at Overland. It really only scratches the surface of what can be said about the increasing confluence of online/offline writing and what wider significance this might hold in store for the reading (and writing) populace.

Anyway, come and have a look and tell me what you think.

I think it is a fantastic idea. I went over and read your article at Overland and I disagree with what Ben Dawe had to say about the editor earning their keep. I don’t think the editing will be overly tedious. Just because people write on the internet doesn’t mean that they have atrocious grammar or write in lol speak. Or is that just me being a tad defensive?

Well it depends on who submits what, really. And what might have merit may need editing, whilst a ‘better’ written piece migh’nt have as much ‘artistic’ or ‘literary’ punch. There is atrocious stuff out there, yes, and yes I think (*hope*!) the job won’t be too hard :)
