These photos were taken at the Billabong Koala and Wildlife Park, on a beautiful day my camera decided to play nice and actually do its job for a change.
Kids patting a Koala
Riley feeding a Kangaroo (or is it a Wallaby? I can’t remember)
Keira doing the same, with still my species confusion.
BIG Wombat. With big claws.
Baby Dingo leaning in for a kiss.
Riley was much more ‘arms-distance’.
An Inland Taipan in its enclosure. The sign outside read: WORLD’S DEADLIEST SNAKE. If you were in any doubt, the capitalisations put those to rest.

I will take them all except for the snake! It is just amazing that you can be that close to the cute fuzz balls. If I ever make it to Australia I will have to go check out that Wildlife Park.
Great photos, Karen!
Looks like a fun time
I love those kinds of wildlife parks where you can get up close and personal with the animals!
Looks like lots of fun was had (despite your species confusion)
Wow, koalas and wallabees!!!! My kids would love that. The taipan is gorgeous, but I’m just as happy to have the deadly ones behind glass. We have an ordinary non-poisonous black snake living on our porch. We like them – they keep the mice away.
That snake looks scary!
Looks like they had great fun – I love hands-on experience with animals, even the scary ones like the snakes! And cassowaries – they are scary!!
