The other day I posted this update on Twitter:
My husband has just counted all the pairs of shoes I own. Apparently, I have 23. He thinks this is a VERY large number. What say you?

It would appear that my husband has been outvoted.

I have a pair of joggers, a pair of slippers, my firefighting boots, my dress boots, my red flats, a pair of masseurs, and a pair of strappy heels that I rarely wear.
oh hold on. I just had a look and there are some black slides as well. 8 pairs.
I dunno what I’d do with 23 pairs of shoes!! lol
I’m pretty sure it’s not 23.
I have had this discussion with my hubby before…and he just doesn’t get that relatively speaking, I don’t have many shoes. Maybe a dozen pairs? I would buy more if he weren’t such a pita about it…
I have less than 10. So 23 for me is comparatively an impressive number. But then I will freely admit I am not a shoe person- I have been wearing the same black shoes to work for 8 years now. (well, i bought them 8 years ago, but I wear them to my current job of nearly 5 years every day.)
How sad is it that my husband has more shoes than me?
I double checked throughout the house and found my Purple Doc Martins, so if slippers do count then I have 4 pair of shoes.
I figure we are all different people and some of us need more shoes than others, just like some of us need more books, coffee etc than others.
I lost count after 50 ….
My current shoe count is 101 pairs. Tell your husband not to worry.
I own about 110 pairs of shoes. A lady must be coordinated, and certain types of shoes look better with certain outfits.
