I’m home, everyone. What a weekend. I don’t think I slept more than a few consecutive hours each night. I’ll write about it in stages over this week, as I am quite tired.
It was an exciting Friday afternoon. Some of you may know that central Melbourne was partially evacuated due to a chemical leak.
That was me.
Behold what I saw when I looked out my hotel window mid-afternoon:
Uh. That looks a little funny…
(Several minutes later)
That’s looking pretty serious. I wonder what’s going on?
Um. He’s going in! WITH A FULL MASK ON. I think I’ll get out of here for a while…
So I left my hotel as I was getting a bit suspicious (also: PARANOID) When I came back three-quarters of an hour later, I couldn’t get back in!
(See that yellow motel sign? Yep, that was me. Turned out if I had stayed they would’ve come up and thrown me out anyway.)
I didn’t get back inside for another 90 minutes. That didn’t matter – I went and met Adele in the meantime!
Stay tuned for tomorrow’s post – my host’s introduction speech to ‘The Revolution will be Downloaded’ panel, which went smashingly well, thanks.
