One of Keira’s recent birthday presents was a fold-out camping chair. In an attempt to guilt (or shame) us into actually taking her camping – which will be difficult as our camping gear in total is that chair alone – she now takes that chair out onto the back deck and just sits there, staring at the backyard and nearby trees.
Quite the life, if you ask me.

You should get here one of those little pop-up tents that will go on the deck and not need pegs. Like a beach shelter type of thing. God knows I LOVED setting up my tent and hanging out in it in the backyard, pretending I was camping.
Take her for an old fashioned picnic – rug, chairs, picnic basket, cold chicken (no picnic was complete without cold cooked chook) plates, salad, buttered bread (if sangas are preferred) thermos of tea/coffee and lemonade for the kids (coke was unheard of on picnics).
If you picnic by a lake you might attract feathered friends, a bonus if the crusts are unwanted or a dilemma if you forgot to pack the bread lol.
Haha, passive agressive – I love it!
