My sister-in-law gave me a Borders gift voucher for my birthday. I went in there the other week to buy The Slap and I swear it was in my hand when the warm pink cover of McSweeney’s on the adjacent shelf captivated me like a Siren’s call. (Yes, I mixed the metaphor {sight/sound}. Oops, never mind)
So my run of reading/purchasing American-published short stories continues.
