Jordan, I asked my doctor the same thing and she said, "That's fine now, but you don't know what will happen." I don't want to wish bad luck upon people, far from it, but what if someone was raped, or what if your partner died and you were lucky enough to find someone else, but they had this infection? It'd sure be the icing on the cake to contract HPV and cervical cancer huh? Might as well get the vaccination now while it's available and as cheap as it's going to be for a while. Who knows what the cost will be by the time she's old enough. But my flu shot the other day made me sicker than I've been in awhile. But I made sure both of my girls got it. And I totally agree with the comment above...it'll be going up soon. Our health insurance didn't cover it. I don't know how well informed she was or if it was cynical conjecture. I've had all 3 now and only one of them hurt really. Tell you doctor to be gentle and you should be fine. The two ladies I had were good, the man doctor really jabbed me.
