I feel I need to make amends for the teasing of my husband the other day.
Well, here’s a little story:
We were at the mall on a typical bleak Melbourne winter’s day. What wasn’t typical was the absolute pouring rain, necessitating our taking an umbrella so we could get inside without getting soaked.
Once we were inside, the umbrella became an encumbrance until my husband put on a noticeable limp and began using it as a cane as we walked around.
“Look at me, I’m Dr. House! Do ya think I’m HAWT?” he asked.
“Of course, darling” I said. “Just forget the people around us are looking at you strangely.”
“They’re only jealous.”
“Of me, or you?”
Then he did the little kick at the tip of the umbrella, like Gene Kelly would’ve in Singing in the Rain, and crooked it over his shoulder. At that moment, he was just so adorable that I think he answered the question anyway.

Love your dh’s comment about “do I look like House.” Sounds like something my dh might say. He might even do the cute Singing in the Rain move…or, more likely break into song to try and embarrass me. Then I’d join in singing to embarrass him, and before you know it we’d be swinging around the lamp posts…
