The age demanded that we dance
And jammed us into iron pants
And in the end the age was handed
The sort of shit that it demandedErnest Hemingway
Whenever I read the news regarding wars and conflicts these days, this quote always comes to mind.
Sad, isn’t it?
On the other hand, it’s a great little riposte at dinner parties. They’ll be tapping their palms with their fingertips, calling you the next wunderpoet, if you whip it out at the right moment.

Hey Karen,
Ernest Hemingway is my favourite writer. Looking at your Bio, I couldn’t help thinking that you have a perfect background to be a succesful writer. You are doing well here on this blog. I wish to see your bok published soon.
I also have a MA ( like you I did that when I was 21) and I am passionate about writing and reading good writers. But i dn’t see myself picking up pen anytime soon. May be my blog would help in that.

A very apt quote, but sadly it’s still applicable today.
